Suzanne Himes, RN, BSN - President
 
Suzanne is a Lung and Heart/Lung Transplant Coordinator at the Cleveland Clinic.  She is also a donor family member and has been leading TRIO for 5 years.  She is an active member of International Transplant Nurses Society (ITNS) and on the Medical Advisory Board for Lifebanc.
 
Suzanne has two children and married to Bill. 
  
 
Deb Plavney, RN, BSN, CCTC - Secretary
 
Deb is the Post Liver Transplant Coordinator & Team Leader Post Reconstructive Transplant Coordinator for the Cleveland Clinic.   Deb is devoted to her patients and very proud to have been a part of the first near total face transplant team in the United States.
 
Deb is also an active member of International Transplant Nurses Society (ITNS).  In her spare time, Deb is involved with training and showing horses. 
 
 
 
 
Dede Axthelm, M.Ed. - Trustee
 
Dede is the communication's captain of TRIO.  She voluntarily does all the mailings and event invitations.  She also maintains the membership list and contact information.  She has been an invaluable asset to TRIO - Greater Cleveland.
 
Dede's son Brent is a liver recipient and he recently graduated from college and works for Microsoft as a Program Manager on the Bing Team.  Dede is also very active at Lifebanc where she is seen in the office on a weekly basis.
  
Heather Dorsey, RN - Trustee
 
Heather is a post-Kidney Pancreas Transplant Coordinator for University Hospitals Case Medical Center.  She is from Canada and has worked in the transplant area for more than 20 years.  She started as a floor nurse for ten years and then moved into the coordinator position.   She is a member of ITNS and NATCO and even volunteered at the Transplant Olympics in Pittsburgh during the games of 2008.
 Julie Caldro - Trustee


Julie graduated in 1998 with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Ophthalmic Technology from Lakeland Community College and earned her certification as a COT.  During that time she began her career in transplantation working for the Cleveland Eye Bank as a recovery technician.  In 1999, Julie joined the team at Lifebanc where she has worked in numerous roles including work as a Donor Referral Coordinator, Tissue Recovery Specialist, Tissue Coordinator, and Director of Referral Services.  She currently holds the title of Tissue Operations Director and is responsible for Referral Services, Ocular Service and Tissue Services departments.  She graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration from Ursuline College and is currently working towards her Masters degree. She lives in Geauga County and has been married for 15 years to her husband David.  Together they have 4 children ranging in age from 13 to 3.
